1. SPONSOR
The Monthly Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is sponsored and administered by HUSH Holsters LLC, located at 13714 NE 28th St, Suite 21, Vancouver, WA 98682 (“Sponsor”).
2. ELIGIBILITY
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years of age (or nineteen (19) in AL and NE, twenty-one (21) in MS) at the time of entry.
Firearm Eligibility Restriction: Participants must be legally eligible to purchase, receive, and possess firearms and firearm accessories under all applicable federal laws. Any individual who is a “prohibited person” under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) or federal jurisdiction regulations is strictly ineligible to participate or win and will be disqualified pursuant to Section 6.
Geographic and Local Law Restriction: Subject to the federal eligibility requirements above, if a specific monthly prize is illegal, heavily restricted, or prohibited by law in a participant’s state, county, or local municipality (including but not limited to restrictive laws in California, New York, Illinois, New Jersey, or similar jurisdictions), an otherwise eligible winner residing in that jurisdiction will not be disqualified. Instead, the Sponsor will provide that winner with a substitute prize consisting of the cash equivalent equal to the verified Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of the restricted monthly prize, subject to the same identity and tax verification requirements outlined herein.
Ineligible Parties: Employees, officers, and directors of Sponsor and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.
3. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD AND TIMELINE
The Sweepstakes is a recurring monthly promotion. Each recurring monthly entry window (a “Monthly Period”) runs on the following cycle:
- Start Date/Time: The 23rd day of the previous calendar month at 12:00:01 AM ET.
- End Date/Time: The 22nd day of the current calendar month at 11:59:59 PM ET.
- Drawing Date: The 23rd day of the current calendar month, or immediately following the closure and verification of the previous month’s entry pool.
4. HOW TO ENTER
Eligible participants can earn entries through the following methods during any single Monthly Period. To maintain strict equal dignity in compliance with sweepstakes law, all methods of entry carry an equal weight of one (1) entry.
A. Purchase Entries
- Standard Purchase: For every completed product purchase transaction cleared on the Sponsor’s e-commerce platform during the Monthly Period, the customer will receive one (1) entry into the drawing pool.
- Referral Bonus: If a customer makes a purchase and an independent subsequent customer inputs the initial customer’s unique, randomized referral code into the designated referral field at checkout, the original transaction will be credited with one (1) additional entry. Participants may earn a maximum of five (5) referral bonuses (up to five (5) additional entries) per participant, per household, per Monthly Period. Any subsequent referral uses beyond this limit will not yield additional entries. Self-referrals via alternative or dummy email accounts are strictly prohibited and will result in total disqualification.
B. Product Review Entries (No Purchase Required for Submission)
Participants may earn one (1) entry per Monthly Period by writing and publishing an independent, publicly viewable, and Google-searchable product review on an external third-party platform (including but not limited to Reddit or YouTube). Reviews published on Amazon are not eligible for entry. To claim this entry, the participant must navigate to the designated Review Upload Form and upload both: (i) a clear, unedited screenshot of the published review, and (ii) the live, direct URL link to the review.
Mandatory Legal Disclosure Requirement: To comply with FTC guidelines, any review submitted for a sweepstakes entry must prominently include the following exact disclosure text within the body of the review: “This review was submitted as an entry into a promotional sweepstakes.” Failure to include this exact text will void the entry. Review entries must be submitted before 11:59:59 PM ET on the 22nd of the month. The review must remain active and publicly viewable throughout the Sweepstakes Period. Duplicate URLs or screenshots submitted across multiple months or by multiple accounts will be disqualified.
C. Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE) – Free Mail-In Entry
To enter the Sweepstakes without making a purchase, a participant must hand-print their full name, complete physical shipping address, daytime phone number, email address, and date of birth on a standard 3″ x 5″ index card. The card must be placed inside a hand-printed outer envelope with first-class postage and mailed to: HUSH Holsters LLC, Attn: Monthly Sweepstakes, 13714 NE 28th St, Suite 21, Vancouver, WA 98682.
Entry Weight and Base Limits: Each valid mail-in envelope received will grant the user one (1) entry into the drawing pool. Limit of one (1) base mail-in envelope per person, per household, per Monthly Period. Bulk, commercial, automated, or mechanically reproduced mailings will be disqualified.
Mail-In Referral Bonus Mechanism: To provide equal dignity to the purchase-based referral bonus structure, a mail-in entrant may earn up to five (5) additional bonus entries per Monthly Period completely independent of purchase data. To earn these bonus entries without a purchase, the participant must submit an additional, separate 3″ x 5″ index card for each requested bonus entry (up to a maximum of five (5) additional cards per Monthly Period). Each bonus index card must be enclosed in its own separate, hand-printed outer envelope with first-class postage and mailed to the designated Sweepstakes address. Each individual bonus index card must contain the participant’s full hand-printed personal entry information alongside the specific handwritten phrase: “BONUS ENTRY REQUEST: [INSERT CURRENT MONTH/YEAR]”.
Referral Limits: Each valid, unique bonus envelope received will credit the mail-in entrant with one (1) additional entry, up to a strict limit of five (5) total referral bonus entries per participant, per household, per Monthly Period. Bulk, commercial, automated, or mechanically reproduced mailings will be disqualified. Self-referrals or submissions utilizing alternative or dummy identities to exceed household limits are strictly prohibited and will result in total disqualification from the Sweepstakes pool.
Mail-In Timeline and Logic: Mail-in entries will be entered and considered exclusively during the specific Monthly Period giveaway in which they are physically received by the Sponsor. To be included in a given month’s drawing pool, the mail-in entry must be physically delivered to the Sponsor’s mailing address no later than 11:59:59 PM ET on the 22nd day of that current calendar month. Entries received after the 22nd day of the month will automatically apply to the following month’s drawing pool.
5. WINNER SELECTION AND RANDOM DRAWING
On or about the 23rd day of each calendar month, Sponsor will consolidate all eligible transaction entries, validated review entries, and verified physical mail-in entries received during the preceding Monthly Period into a single unified drawing pool. The winner will be selected completely at random using a verified digital pseudorandom number generation tool (the “Randomizer Tool”). Odds of winning depend entirely on the total number of eligible entries received during the specific Monthly Period.
6. WINNER VERIFICATION AND RE-DRAWING
The potential winner will be notified via the email address and phone number associated with their entry path.
Mandatory Background Check / Eligibility Verification: Prior to prize fulfillment, the potential winner must provide proof of identity and age, and explicitly certify compliance with firearm possession eligibility standards.
Disqualification vs. Prize Substitution Logic:
- Automatic Disqualification: If the selected winner is discovered to be a “prohibited person” under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)), fails the mandatory background check at FFL if prize is sent to an FFL, or is under the legal age requirement for their state, the winner will be automatically disqualified and will not be eligible for any prize or substitute cash equivalent.
- Local Restriction Cash Substitution: If the verification process confirms the winner is not a federally prohibited person, but the specific physical monthly prize cannot legally be shipped to or possessed within the winner’s specific state, county, or local municipality, the winner will not be disqualified. In such cases, fulfillment will proceed exclusively via the cash equivalent substitute protocol detailed in Section 2 (Geographic and Local Law Restriction).
Response Window: The Sponsor will make at least two (2) distinct attempts to contact the potential winner using both communication methods (email and phone). The potential winner has five (5) business days from the date of the initial notification to respond, verify their identity, and complete eligibility documentation. Failure to respond within this timeframe will result in automatic disqualification.
Re-Drawing: In the event of a total disqualification or forfeiture (under the terms of this Section 6 or Section 7), Sponsor will execute the Randomizer Tool again to select the next sequential eligible entry number from that specific Monthly Period pool.
7. PRIZES, TAXES, AND APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUE (ARV)
- Monthly Prize: The specific prize item changes monthly and will be prominently posted on the Sponsor’s promotional channels. Sponsor guarantees that the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and the Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of the monthly prize will be less than $600.00 USD for any single monthly drawing. No prize substitutions, cash redemptions, or transfers are permitted except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Winner is solely responsible for any local transaction, transfer, or dealer fees (e.g., FFL transfer fees) if applicable.
- Tax Responsibility and Cumulative W-9 Requirement: Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, and local taxes associated with prize acceptance. In the event that a single participant wins multiple monthly drawings within a single calendar year, and a newly won prize causes their cumulative year-to-date winnings to meet or exceed $600.00 USD, the winner must fill out and submit an IRS Form W-9 to the Sponsor before that triggering prize can be fulfilled or shipped.
- Forfeiture for Non-Compliance: The winner has ten (10) business days from the date of request to provide the completed IRS Form W-9. Failure to provide the W-9 within this timeframe will result in the immediate and permanent forfeiture of that specific triggering prize. Sponsor will issue an IRS Form 1099-MISC at the end of the tax year reflecting all distributed prize values as required by law.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS AND RELEASE
By participating, entrants agree to abide by these Official Rules and the final, binding decisions of the Sponsor.
BY ACCEPTING A PRIZE, THE WINNER EXPRESSLY AGREES TO RELEASE, INDEMNIFY, DEFEND, AND HOLD HARMLESS Sponsor, its parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, employees, and advertising agencies (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, economic loss, cost, expense, injury, or damage sustained in connection with the receipt, possession, installation, use, modification, or misuse of the prize.
SPECIFIC PRODUCT LIABILITY & ASSUMPTION OF RISK DISCLAIMER: PARTICIPANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE PRIZES MAY CONSIST OF TACTICAL GEAR, HOLSTERS, MECHANICAL COMPONENTS, OR FIREARM ACCESSORIES. WINNERS EXPRESSLY ASSUME ALL INHERENT RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE AND INSTALLATION OF SUCH PRIZES, INCLUDING THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY, PERMANENT DISABILITY, OR DEATH. THE RELEASED PARTIES SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY WHATEVER UNDER ANY THEORY OF STRICT LIABILITY, PRODUCT LIABILITY, OR NEGLIGENCE FOR ANY DEFECTS, MECHANICAL FAILURES, IMPROPER INSTALLATION, OR OUTCOMES ARISING FROM THE FORESEEABLE OR UNFORESEEABLE USE OR MISUSE OF THE PRIZE. SPONSOR MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, REGARDING THE MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OF ANY PRIZE DISTRIBUTED.
Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Sweepstakes if fraud, technical failures, or structural bot-spamming compromises the integrity of the random drawing pool. Void where prohibited by law.
9. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
Except where prohibited by law, these Official Rules and the administration of the Sweepstakes shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of Washington, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. By entering, participants consent to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in the State of Washington for the resolution of all disputes, actions, claims, or legal proceedings arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes or any prize awarded. Any and all disputes shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.
